MUNICH VIOLIN DAYS

02.05. 2026 – 17.05.2026

After Cremona, Munich is the city with the highest density of violin making workshops.

Every three years, 24 workshops, comprising 22 violin makers and 2 bow makers, present their latest handmade violins, violas and bows at the Munich Violin Days exhibition. This extraordinary event has become an integral part of Munich’s cultural life. It attracts an enthusiastic specialist audience from near and far.

What makes it unique is that it is a hands-on exhibition: violins, violas, cellos and bows can be played and tried out by the visitors during the exhibition hours. We also offer concerts, played on instruments and bows of the exhibition, lectures about violin making topics and sound checks, where instruments are played in short passages, so the instruments can be compared directly.

Our sincere thanks go to Mrs Anne-Sophie Mutter for taking on the patronage!
